Proceeds from this work will be used as donations for the Jeju Keun Gut Preservation Society’s atriums, which have consistently preserved and produced Jeju Gime.

What is NFT?

It means ‘non-fungible token’, which refers to a virtual asset that makes it impossible to replace a blockchain token with another token. This is a means of digitally tokenizing existing assets such as games, artwork, and real estate by clarifying asset ownership.

기메가 바람에 나부낍니다.

인간의 노력만으로는 어찌할 수 없을 때
간절한 바람을 종이에 접고 오려  
하늘로 올려보내는 무구(巫具) 기메.

소원이 돌고 돌아
검은 파도에 부서지고
제주의 푸른 바람이 당신을 어루만질 때

신들의 숨결이 머물러 있는지도 모릅니다.

제주 일만 팔천 신들의 수만큼
다양한 기메 중에서도
사람과 하늘을 잇는 의미를 지닌
소통기와 혼령기를 NFT로 만들어 보았습니다.

이 깊고도 거룩한 송년의 밤
우리의 바람이 기메가 부르는 푸른 바람을 타고
저 하늘에 훨훨 가닿기를 바래봅니다.
