A song of the wind blowing from Jeju. ‌This is a convergence performance video filmed in 360-degree VR.

A song of the wind blowing from Jeju. ‌This is a convergence performance video filmed in 360-degree VR.

Feeling the wind in the embrace of Jeju, the VR digital performance Wind Song 1 (Orum), 2 (Badang) contains a dance and music symbolizing the wind god (風神, Yeongdeungsin) of Jeju. The wind god changes appearance depending on the day and is expressed through the use of traditional costumes and props with Hangeul patterns, as well as traditional and modern musicians and dancers collaborating to produce songs of comfort in Orum and songs of peace in Badang. I wanted to share the dance and songs of the Jeju wind gods, arriving on white Hangeul fluttering in the wind beyond the monitor screen.

Cast: O Yu-jeong (horsehead fiddle, janggu), Ahn Ji-seok (dance), Baek Jeong-hyeon (keyboard, sound), Yang Ho-seong (percussion), Jang Mun-seon (percussion), Hwang Ji-won (percussion), Heo Jun-hyuk (daegeum)
Recording: McC Communication
Costumes: Yi Hyangbok
Camera: Kandao Obsidian R 8k, Gopro Fusion 5.6k, Insta360 Twin5.6k
